Alfred Van Muyden

He came to settle in Geneva, where he founded the Geneva Sociêtê des Amis des Beaux-Arts. He focused on depicting Genre scenes from everyday life in a realistic manner, as reflected in this picture of a woman working in the fields while minding her young children.
